Community Helping Mom Stabbed in Park
The community of Stephenville is coming together to help a mother paralyzed after she was stabbed in the back at a city park. Brandi Todd was sitting on a park bench watching her 8--and--5 year--old children play on Sunday when a man came from behind and stabbed her in the back. Police have arrested and charged a 42--year--old man who reportedly was upset with a mental health care organization who detectives say stabbed Todd at random.
Friend Tammy Culpepper says Todd is in good spirits even though she faces an uncertain prognosis. They've started prayer chains for Brandi Todd, and a fund has been setup at a bank in Stephenville.
