Homeowners say Buy Back Not Enough
Nearly two months after a landslide forced two dozen homes to be abandoned in a San Antonio neighborhood the homebuilder has agreed to buy back 27 affected homes but sixty other homeowners in the neighborhood say it isn't enough. They say the landslide has left their homes worthless...and they want Centex-Pulte to buy their homes too. The homebuilder says it will spend five million dollars fixing a retaining wall and driving steel beams into the hillside to protect the remaining homes and that should preserve those homeowners' investment.
