The Democratic Gubernatorial candidates have some civil disagreements. There was never a heated moment but Farouk Shami and Bill White do disagree on some issues, like a moratorium on the death penalty, Shami favors it. “We can not be bragging how many people we execute and execute them innocently.” While White doesn’t favor a one size fits all cases moratorium. “Because that would disrespect the juries and the victims and the criminal justice where there is no question.” The two also don’t agree on the need to raise gasoline taxes to fund new road construction.
