Jury selection is entering a third week in Lufkin the case of a former dialysis nurse accused of killing five patients by injecting them with bleach.
Kimberly Saenz (syns) faces the death penalty if convicted of capital murder.
At least eight jurors are still needed, including four alternates. Opening statements and testimony are scheduled for March 5. The 38-year-old Saenz, from Pollok, was arrested in April 2009. Authorities say two witnesses saw her pour bleach into syringes and traces of it were found in dialysis machine tubing. She's also charged with five counts of aggravated assault for injecting bleach into five other patients who survived.
Saenz's lawyer says she's being blamed for mistakes at the now-closed clinic where she worked for eight months.
